Flax seeds are a great source of many nutrients including omega 3's and phytonutrients both powerful aids in helping fight disease. It is recommended 1TBSP for a adults and about 1 tsp for children should be consumed daily. It must be ground in order to gain all the nutrtional benefits. I Add them to your high powered blender when making a smoothie or grind them with a small coffee bean grinder and sprinkle on to top of oatmeal, salads or add to any sauce you are using.

Flax seeds are also a great egg replacer when baking. For each egg needed, use 1 Tbsp flax seed with 3 tbsp of water blended in a high powered blender or food processor.
